Access the Employee Assistance Program

Correctional Service Canada (CSC) offers all its employees and Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This program is a voluntary and confidential support service. It helps:

• employees
• their family members, and
• their dependents

The EAP:

• addresses concerns that affect their personal and work well-being
• provides a professional, short-term, problem-solving service
• provides support in difficult situations

The EAP has two components, an internal network and external resources. This section explains the external resources:

LifeWorks

LifeWorks is a global company that offers a confidential Employee Assistance Program and innovative well-being resources that you can use every single day.

CSC joined other departments across the public service that already partner with LifeWorks.

Eligibility and confidentiality

The short-term counselling done with our external counselling service provider is free of charge for:

• employees
• their spouse, and
• their dependants

It is confidential and voluntary.

They have a large network of 3,000 counsellors from coast to coast.

How to access LifeWorks

You can get these services through:

• in-person meetings
• telephone or video counselling
• online chat options, or
• self-learning

LifeWorks has different options to access their services.

Online

To access LifeWorks online:

1. Access the LifeWorks login page using the Google Chrome web browser
2. In the Username field, enter CSC-SCC
3. Select Next
4. In the Password field, enter Canada
5. Select Remember Me
6. Select Log In

After logging in, you can:

• visit the Support and Resources section to access hundreds of:
  • articles
  • eBooks
  • infographics
  • audio recordings
  • toolkits, and more
• access the Wellbeing tab for more information and tools

Mobile app

The app is the best way to keep LifeWorks with you on the go, wherever you go. It is available for use on mobile phones and tablets.

To access LifeWorks on your mobile device:

1. tap the icon on your device’s screen to launch
2. Select Log in
3. In the Username field, enter CSC-SCC
4. Select Continue
5. In the Password field, enter Canada
6. Select Continue

LifeSpeak is a digital platform accessible at no charge. You and your family members can access it completely anonymously, anywhere, anytime. It is available through any:

It has hundreds of interesting short video trainings and tip sheets, on many topics such as:

• anxiety
• nutrition
• addictions, or
• relationships

To access the campaign:
